Support
Write to a person, not a ticket queue. Sadhana is made by one developer, and that is who answers.
Replies usually arrive within two to three working days. Writing in English, Hindi or Nepali is all fine.
Before you write
Including these makes a fix much faster — and none of them tell us anything about your practice:
- Your device and its operating system version.
- The app version, from your device’s app settings or the store listing.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
Please do not send your mantras, Sankalpa intentions or practice notes. They are never needed to diagnose a problem, and they are yours.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Every part of the practice — counting, the mantra library, meditation, Sankalpa, routines, history, reminders, widgets — works without signing in, indefinitely. Signing in only adds the option of a cloud copy.
I got a new phone. How do I move my practice across?
Sign in on both devices with the same Google or Apple account and turn on cloud sync or cloud backup, which are Premium features. Without them, practice data lives only on the device that recorded it — the app has no other way to move it, deliberately.
My streak or count looks wrong.
Check the profile you are practising under (Profile → switch) and the date range you are looking at. A sitting that was interrupted can be recovered from the Japa screen the next time you open it. If the figure is still wrong, write to us with the date and what you expected to see.
Reminders are not arriving.
Confirm notifications are allowed for Sadhana in your device settings, then check the reminder is enabled and set for the days you expect. On some Android devices, battery optimisation will silence a scheduled reminder — allowing Sadhana to run in the background fixes it.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Premium in the app and choose Restore purchases, signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought with. Premium comes from the store, not from a Sadhana account — it does not require signing in to Sadhana and is unaffected by deleting a Sadhana account.
I want a refund.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple and Google, so refunds have to go through them: Apple or Google Play. We cannot issue one on their behalf, but tell us what went wrong anyway — that part we can fix.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Profile → Account & Privacy → Export my data. The export contains your own practice and nothing else: no sign-in details, no notification tokens, no purchase receipts. It is written to your device and uploaded nowhere.
How do I delete my data?
Under Profile → Account & Privacy there are three separate actions, because they are three separate things:
- Delete my cloud data — removes the copy kept in your account.
- Delete data on this device — removes the practice stored here.
- Delete account — closes your account and removes its cloud data.
Deleting an account never wipes the device by surprise; you are asked about local data separately, and the default is to keep it. Deleting your account online needs a connection.
How do I stop sharing analytics or crash reports?
Profile → Account & Privacy → Privacy. Both are off until you turn them on, they are separate switches, and turning either off takes effect immediately.
Can I use Sadhana offline?
Yes, entirely. The app is built that way: the copy on your device is the real one, and a connection is needed only for optional things — signing in, cloud sync or backup, and group Sankalpa.
I found a mistake in a mantra.
Please tell us. Include the mantra name and what should be corrected in the text, transliteration, meaning or source, and it will be fixed in the next release.
